Katy police foil burglary of business
Katy police foiled an early-hours burglary of a business Jan. 7, after an officer noticed a trailer with an off-road vehicle, pulled by a driver who was “acting suspicious.”
While the officer conducted a traffic stop about 4:25 a.m., another officer was dispatched to check the power sports dealership in the 6100 block of Highway 90. He found the fence had been cut.
A call to the owner helped identify the trailer and off-road vehicle, said Assistant Chief Tim Tyler. “It was good police work.”
The suspect, a 28-year-old man with a Cypress address, was arrested for burglary of a business and taken to the Fort Bend County jail.
