Houston motorcyclist dies of injuries received in Katy-area accident
A motorcycle-truck collision in the 26800 block of the Interstate 10 south service road took the life of Pablo Rivadeneira, 42, of Houston on Jan. 22.
Katy police were called to the accident about 4:15 p.m. According to the police report, a motorcycle ran a stop sign and collided with a 2007 Dodge pick-up truck that was exiting the freeway westbound near FM 1463.
The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike, the report states.
He was flown by helicopter to Hermann Memorial Hospital-Downtown, where he was pronounced dead.
Rivadeneira, known as Amigo Pablo by his friends in the Amigos Motorcycle Club, died of blunt force injuries, according to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
No one else was reported injured in the accident, according to police.
A guest book on the Amigos club website includes condolences to his family, friends and "brothers."
"My dad died doing what he loved most," said a Jan. 25 guestbook posting from Daniel Rivadeneira.
A memorial service for Rivadeneira was planned for noon, Feb. 4 at Earthman Funeral Home, with a memorial ride and gathering to follow.
