Katy homebuilder sued over new construction
A Katy homebuilder is being sued over alleged shoddy work.
Keith Graffagnini and Dana Bukowski filed a lawsuit on Feb. 11 in the Harris County District Court against Majesta Homes in Katy, alleging breach of contract and breach of expressed and implied warranties.
The plaintiffs say that on May 9, 2009, they purchased, while under construction, a two-story, 3,949-square-foot stucco home, located at 1303 Du Barry Lane, from Majesta Homes. According to the brief, seven months after purchase, the home remained unfinished with many defects, including erosion in the back yard, incomplete painting, bowed wood paneling, improper draining, electrical problems and leaks.
The plaintiffs are seeking all damages to which they are entitled, attorney’s fees and court costs. They are being represented in the case by Houston attorney David Thrasher.
