Girl Scouts to celebrate 100th anniversary
Girls Scouts in Katy, along with troops across the country, will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Girls Scouts Monday, March 12.
On Girl Scout Sunday, Katy Scouts will be recognized in many area churches, where they will receive wishes for a happy 100th anniversary.
Over the years, Girl Scouts have changed from being a group that focused on cookies, camp and crafts to focusing on building relationships, leadership and technology.
For information about the Girl Scouts or to join in Katy, contact Area 17 manager Celia Valles at 713-292-0300 or cvalles@gssjc.org.
