Cinco Ranch Library announces summer children's programs

Cinco Ranch Branch Library recently announced its monthly summer children’s programs.

"Mother Goose Time," for infants 1 month to 12 months, will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays. Planned activities for June are "Reach Up High" on June 5, "Mothers and Babies" on June 12, "Shake, Rattle and Roll" on June 19 and "Splash and Sing" on June 26.

"Toddler Time" is on Wednesdays and Thursdays for babies 12 months to 36 months old. All programs start at 10:30 a.m. June programs are "Giants and Legends" on June 6 and June 7, "Our Parents" on June 13 and June 14, "Dance Central" on June 20 and June 21 and "Fish Tales" on June 27 and June 28.

Children 3 to 6 years old can participate in "Story Time," which includes stories, movies and craft activities. Each program begins at 2 p.m. on Tuesdays. June programs are "Giant Tales" on June 5, "Moms and Dads" on June 12, "Move and Dance" on June 19 and "Ocean Adventures" on June 26.

"Pajama Night Story Time" takes place at 7 p.m. on Thursdays as an alternative to the day "Story Time" program. During June, themes are "Giants" on June 7, "Mothers and Fathers" on June 14, "Dance Party" on June 21 and "Under the Sea" on June 28.

Children in first through fifth grade can participate in crafts, movies, stories and more from 2-3 p.m. on Wednesdays during the summer. Activities for the program are "Once Upon a Puppet Play – Rumpelstiltskin Marionette Puppet Show" on June 6; "Wings, Stings and Leggy Things – Entertaining Information About Insects" on June 13; "Tales About Tails – Storyteller with Animal Stories" on June 20; and "Ha-Yah! Taekwondo!" on June 27.

The library’s final program, "Tween Café," takes place at 3 p.m. on Monday for children between the ages of 10 and 12. During June, the program’s activities include "Name That Show – TV Trivia Contest" on June 4; "Snacks and Movie" on June 11; "Kleenex 500 – Build Your Own Kleenex Race Car" on June 18; and "Donut Decorating" on June 25.
