Taylor High School student earns Girl Scouts Gold Award
Taylor High School senior Vaidehi Mankar recently earned the Girl Scouts of America Gold Award, the top award for a Girl Scout.
Mankar, 18, has been a Scout for nine years and recently incorporated her love of dance into several dance workshops, which included dance therapy at the Krause Children's Center for children who have experienced severe abuse.
Mankar was also a four-year member of Taylor High School's Pacesetters dance team.
The Girl Scouts of America Gold Award is given to Scouts who demonstrate high levels of personal growth, community service, leadership and career planning.
