McMeans Jr. High earns 'No Place For Hate' status
Garland McMeans Junior High was recently given a "No Place for Hate" banner by the Anti-Defamation League in Houston for its involvement in the No Place for Hate program.
As part of their participation in the program, McMeans students designed a t-shirt, created anti-bullying posters, hung letters to bullies in the school hallways and held a "No Name Calling" week. McMeans Junior High was one of only five schools in the Katy Independent School District to receive the No Place for Hate status.
