Katy City Council approves street overlay program
The Katy City Council accepted a bid from Forde Construction of Houston to provide the city's asphalt overlay work for the year.
The company's bid of $206,595 was the lowest of five submitted.
The asphalt overlay will be done on Morton Road through the city limits and portions of Fifth Street. The repair and overlay of the approaches to the Tenth Street bridge along with the repair of broken curbs and gutters will also be done.
Work is expected to begin by the end of July or early August.
