The Katy Area Chamber of Commerce has released information to help the public understand the purpose and function of the organization.
The Katy Chamber of Commerce is a group of volunteer business and professional men and women who hope to enhance the quality of life in their community.
The goal is to create a business climate for success and growth in Katy. The development of businesses in the community is a result of the work done by the chamber, which has a major impact on income and future growth.
The primary functions of the Chamber of Commerce are to act as a spokesperson for the business community and take action on the cumulative vision of its members and to deliver services to create business development opportunities.
The chamber's objectives are to promote a better understanding of business development, coordinate the efforts of commerce and industry, sponsor progressive programs and stimulate activities that encourage growth, provide leadership and coordination in solving community problems and to create an understanding of opportunities in the Katy area.
The president of the Katy Chamber of Commerce is Ann Hodge, Debbie Glasser is in charge of accounting and member services, and the office manager is Brenda Grogan.
