UK International to offer World Cup soccer camp

Sign-ups are open for the FPPS UK International World Cup Camp scheduled to take place Wednesday, Aug. 15 through Saturday, Aug. 18.

The camp lasts from 6-8 p.m. at the FFPS Soccer Complex at George Bush Park, located at 20150 Westheimer Parkway, in Houston. Children ages 6 to 16 are invited to attend.

The soccer camp offers players the opportunity to hone their skills and learn more about the World Cup, including the songs, cheers, chants and uniforms. Campers will be taught about many of the distinct traditions that accompany the World Cup and its teams.

After four days of soccer playing, an award ceremony will be held in honor of the World Cup's special awards.

The fee is $60. A $5 discount will be given to siblings, and a $10 discount will be given for each additional World Cup Camp attended.
