Two-day hunter education course offered in Katy
A two-day Texas Hunter Education course will be held from Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 8-9 in Katy. The course will provide participants with instruction in Texas hunting regulations, wildlife management and identification, conservation, ethics, firearm and hunting safety and outdoor skills. Students who pass the course will receive a certification card. When students arrive to the class, they are expected to fill out a registration form and pay the $15 fee. Students will have to attend the entire course and earn 70 percent correct answers on their written exam to pass the class.
